Here is what we have for our experienced students...
~please note that a one-day workshop will not qualify you for the skill level in the classes below~
The terms "experienced beginner", "advanced beginner", and "intermediate/ advanced" are subjective and tend to change with our evolving student body. All of the classes below are for experienced students only. If you are joining us with experience from a different studio we highly recommend working one on one with an instructor before requesting to be in a class. This is to ensure that you are placed in the appropriate class for your skill level when a spot opens up.
There are no online sign ups for these classes, instead we ask that you email us. Requests are first come first servewith priority given to students that were signed up for the previous session. Although we wish we could accommodate everyone, these classes often fill quickly with returning students. If you miss out, reach out to us about private lessons! Please be patient with our slow response time after classes are announced as we let the requests come in before getting back to everyone.
"HOLIDAY MAGIC" w/ Sarah LaSpada MONDAYS 6:30-9:30pm: LEVEL: EXPERIENCED BEGINNER STARTS November 4th (6 WEEKS) COST: $690 The season of gift giving is upon us, and this class will focus on making just that! Each class will be a project that will help us practice the basics of gathering, marvering, blocking and putting in a jackline. While the projects won't be super complicated, practicing these foundations will help build skill while also walking away with pretty glass objects to gift to your family and friends! This is a great class for folks fresh out of a 6 week beginner class or for our more experienced beginners who want to solidify these fundamental skills.
"OFF TO THE RIGHT START" w/ Kristin Imre TUESDAYS: 6:30-9:30pm: LEVEL: ADVANCED BEGINNER STARTS: NOVEMBER 5th (6 WEEKS) COST: $690 For our newer glassblowers who really want to gain more control of their final product, this course will focus on the skill building that is needed to achieve different shapes. Beginning with the bottom-weighted sphere set-up and moving to the eggplant set-up, each week we will explore a new vessel shape that takes advantage of these key set-ups. We will work on orbs, cylinders, pint glasses, high-shouldered vases, cones, and finally cooling towers. Through repetition and focusing on theory the hope is to leave this class with a better understanding of this material we all love so much! *Please note, the first class is on election day. While we welcome the distraction of being away from the news for a few hours that evening, we understand that might not be for everyone, when requesting this class please let us know whether or not you can make it that night so we can get a sense as to whether the schedule should be adjusted!*
