SPRING 2026

*STUDENTS MUST HAVE PRIOR EXPERIENCE AND BE 14 YEARS OR OLDER TO PARTICIPATE.*

~please note: a one-day workshop will not qualify you for the skill level in the classes below~
The terms "experienced beginner", "advanced beginner", and "intermediate" are subjective and tend to change with our evolving student body. All of the classes below are for experienced students only. If you are joining us with experience from a different studio, we highly recommend working one-on-one with an instructor before requesting to be in a class. This is to ensure that you are placed in the appropriate class for your skill level when a spot opens up.

There are no online sign-ups for these classes, instead we ask that you email us. Requests are first come first served with priority given to students that were signed up for the previous session. Although we wish we could accommodate everyone, these classes often fill quickly with returning students. If you miss out, reach out to us about private lessons!  Please be patient with our slow response time after classes are announced as we let the requests come in before getting back to everyone.

Here is what we have for our experienced students...

1- DAY CARVING WORKSHOPS w/ Tom Liu *NEW*
MULTIPLE DAYS: 9:00am-1:30pm
April 11
May 16

LEVEL: SOME GLASSBLOWING EXPERIENCE RECOMMENDED
COST: $225
These one-day classes will serve as an introduction to using the carving lathe to decorate your glass.  We will start with understanding the basic wheel shapes and their uses and progress quickly from flat glass to vessels of different shapes which we will have on hand for you to use. This is a great opportunity to learn a new skill or build upon the ones you have learned so far while staying under the watchful eye of an instructor. Some glassblowing experience is useful but not as important a requirement as enthusiasm. The content of these sessions will be tailored to each individual student's experience and interest.
The goal of these sessions is to get students to the point where they can rent the equipment independently.
This will likely take about 3 sessions for most.
*this is not a 6 week class, but individual drop in days, e-mail to sign up*

"HEAT & GRAVITY" w/ Emery Wenger
TUESDAYS: 6:30-9:30pm
LEVEL: ADVANCED BEGINNER
STARTS April 28th
COST: $725
This class is meant to deepen your understanding of this amazing molten material we all love so much. What are the first two tools you are going to use when you take a gather of molten glass? The marver? The blocks? Wrong! The very first tools we have to work with are heat and gravity, and we are going to spend our 6 weeks exploiting this to our advantage starting with your very first gather. We will make "no marver" cups and roman bottles forcing us to work hotter and faster. We will also have some challenges along the way like timed drills and excersizes to up our glassblowing game game! This class is open to most levels and is best suited for some one who has at least 2 of our 6-week classes under their belt.
*please note: there will be no class on 6/2*

"SCULPTING EVERYDAY OBJECTS"
w/ DJ Benyosef & Zach Herrmann
WEDNESDAYS: 6:30-9:30pm
LEVEL: INTERMEDIATE
STARTS April 29th
COST: $725
This class was so popular and there have been many requests to run it again! So here we go....Bring your imagination each week as we tackle and troubleshoot our way into hot sculpting everyday objects. Prepare to be challenged! Last time we tried everything from toilet plungers to turkey basters to toothpaste! Not only will this be a good time, but this is a great way to build skills. There is nothing like being able to recreate an object out of glass start to finish. It is the sign of skilled glassblower! *thank you to Brian Mcleod for the photo of his sculpted pears*
*please note: there will be no class on 6/3*

"BETTER GLASSBLOWING"
w/ Chris Watts

THURSDAYS: 6:30-9:30pm
LEVEL: INTERMEDIATE/ ADVANCED
STARTS April 30th
COST: $725

With the help of special guest, Chris Watts, this class is for glassblowers who would like to work larger and more quickly. By looking through a scientific lens of how glass behaves at the various stages throughout the making process, students will gain a deep understanding of when to slow down and when to speed up their movements. They will also develop a better understanding of how to use their unique senses of balance to work more efficiently with their team mates to make larger, more complex and varied work. If you collaborate with, rather than try to dominate the material, you will quickly become a more accomplished glass maker.
*please note: there will be no class on 6/4*
