COST: $750
In this intermediate glassblowing course, the objectives will be to build a solid foundation, refine skills, work more efficiently, and establish an understanding of how working on a small scale can translate into larger works. Students will work in clear focusing on basic forms such as the tumbler, cylinder, hourglass, bowl, and bottle, moving logically from one shape to the next. Each class will begin with a lecture appropriate to the day’s objectives, before moving into the hot shop for demonstrations, followed by individual blow time. During individual blow slots, instruction will be personalized to build on each student’s skill set, and during this one-on-one time we will help find simple solutions to common struggles.
Class will meet from 9am - 4pm each day.
All tools, materials, and lunch will be provided.
