MONDAYS 6:30-9:30pm: LEVEL: NOVICE STARTS SEPTEMBER 9th For those of you who are newer to glassblowing, taking a summer off can be pretty jarring. Lets RESET! We are going to ease you back into it making simple forms with some fun colorful flair. An emphasis will be placed on HAVING FUN no matter what is happening at the end of the pipe! COST: $690
TUESDAYS 6:30-9:30pm: LEVEL: INTERMEDIATE STARTS SEPTEMBER 10th
This class will focus on making glass in the medieval style which is super funky, a little bit silly, and all around awesome. We will be serving up tons of fun bits that are both decorative and historically functional, you know, to keep your wine from slipping out of your greasy medieval hands! We had a little taste of this in our Game of Thrones class and couldn't wait for an opportunity to teach a full length session. This is sure to be a good time!
WEDNESDAYS 6:30-9:30pm: LEVEL: INTERMEDIATE/ ADVANCED STARTS SEPTEMBER 11th In this class we will focus on making our pieces more interesting by adding TEXTURAL elements. By working with the roller wrap, cane, optic molds, and crackle we will learn to exploit these surface qualities by focusing on working quickly and taking short heats to keep as much of the texture as possible. COST: $690
THURSDAYS 6:30-9:30pm: LEVEL: INTERMEDIATE/ ADVANCED STARTS SEPTEMBER 12th This class is based on the reality TV series about "BLOWN AWAY" which was recently featured on Netflix and is based on our favorite past-time- GLASSBLOWING! (Binge it if you haven't already!) Just like the show, each week students will be given a "challenge" to compete to the best of their abilities for a chance to hold the title "BEST IN BLOW".COST: $690
BEGINNING GLASSBLOWING SUNDAYS 2:30-5:30pm: FOUR WEEKS/ $460 STARTS SEPTEMBER 15th This is your chance to try glassblowing. This class can be the next step for any student who has taken a weekend workshop, or the first step for someone who wants to learn the basics of blowing glass. After a refresher/ introduction on how to gather, marver, and blow a bubble, we will focus our time on team work and making drinking vessels. No experience necessary. SOLD OUT
